The Opportunity Missed (part 1 of 2).
30 seconds doesn’t seem like a long time, but in reality, it can make all the difference when it comes to being picked by a brand for a collaboration. Picture a 800m track race, and imagine a 30-second gap from the person in front of you. Doesn’t it seem like a significant amount of time now? There are endless possibilities to what you can achieve in 30 seconds – it’s just down to whether you take the opportunity.
Looking at our influencer community, 30 seconds often make the difference between being chosen for a campaign or not. Think about it this way: would you consider posting a picture on your social media with no caption? You might, but it wouldn’t have the same effect as if you had a caption to aid audience engagement through providing context.
How 30 seconds can increase your chances of working with brands
When brands look to select participants to join their campaigns on the Freestak platform, they take the time to read each response, answering the ‘why’ a content creator would like to be part of the campaign. So imagine their surprise when the question hasn’t been answered. By not completing your profile or answering this basic question, you’re making yourself invisible to the brand.
5 simple tips to increase your visibility to brands
Romell Reddock, our campaigns’ associate, shares his top 5 tips to help you stand out from the crowd:
- Why do you want to be part of the campaign?
- Have you taken the time to look at the brand and see how you would contribute to their brand story? Is their brand ethos in line with yours?
- Is your collaboration angle unique? Are you bringing something no other content creator is?
- Does your Freestak profile page present your own unique story?
- Have you answered all application questions in a compelling and to-the-point way?
Answering those questions might make all the difference between getting picked for the next campaign – just like it won @richwillrun and @emmakirkyo a dream trip to the USA with Saucony on the Freestak platform.
