We are delighted that the Trail Running Team 2014 has been shortlisted for one of the Digitals Awards.

This is a great endorsement of the project that we delivered, with the support of Berghaus, LED Lenser and TORQ along with Trail Running Magazine as the media partner, taking six non-elite athletes and giving them a taste of what it is like to be a sponsored trail runner, including kit, nutrition and a training camp in the Alps around Chamonix.

The Digitals are one of the most widely recognised awards in the digital sector and are described by the organisers like this:

We want the world to know about the work that’s setting new standards. The work that stops you in your tracks. The work that stands out from the crowd.

The Trail Running Team has been shortlisted from all the entrants to a list of eight campaigns for the Consumer Goods award including;

  • Havas for Pernod Ricard on the Malibu Best Summer Ever campaign
  • Posterscope and Carat for Arla Foods on Lurpak’s #foodadventures campaign
  • Zone for Coca Cola on the Share A Coke campaign
  • Holler for Procter and Gamble on the #LikeAGirl campaign

As you can see we are keeping good company and we are over the moon that we have been able to put Berghaus in the same Consumer Goods category as Coke, P&G and Lurpak. We will keep everything crossed that we make the cut, but one thing we do know is that hard work and a belief in doing the right thing goes a long way towards getting recognition. Now we’d better polish our shoes and iron a top… because you never know!
